Currently serving as Head - Neurology,Max Institute of Neurosciences, New Delhi

  He has done his MBBS in 1982 from VSS Medical College at Burla Sambalpur, Orissa with University
    Gold Medal in Medicine.

  He topped in MD (Medicine) from Bangalore University and did his DM (Neurology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Dr J D Mukherji, after serving 23 years in the Armed Forces Medical Services, has joined Max Healthcare as a Senior Neurologist. He was a senior teaching faculty member at Army Research & Referral Hospital, Delhi prior to joining Max Healthcare. He was a postgraduate teacher in Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi.

Dr Mukherji specialises in the Evaluation and Management of Strokes, Critical Care Neurology, Headaches, Movement Disorders, and Multiple Sclerosis. His long experience of being the Neurologist in charge of ICU at R& R hospital has given him the edge in Critical Care Neurology.

He has more than 35 International and National Publications to his credit besides giving more than 50 talks on his subject of interest. He has carried out several research projects under AFMRC.

He was awarded the Chief of Army staff's Commendation Medal in 2004 besides being awarded the GOC-in-C (Western Command) Commendation Medal twice. He was awarded the best scientific paper in the platform presentation section in Neurology in APICON 2005 at Mumbai for his paper 'Stroke in the Young'.
